What is the filing date of my trademark, and how is the filing date determined?
Your trademark application filing date is the date and time (Eastern Standard Time) when the transmission of your application reaches the Trademark Office’s server after an attorney with the Firm has thoroughly reviewed it.
Typically, the filing date is within 24 hours of a complete application submission and payment. It’s important to understand that receiving a filing date does not mean that your application will register. To obtain a registration, you must comply with all application requirements and address any refusals issued by the Trademark Office during the trademark examination.
An attorney representing you through the Firm can guide you through the process, ensuring that you meet the necessary requirements and overcome any obstacles that may arise during the examination.
